Welcoming Our New Activities Director

Congratulations, Destiny — we’re so happy to have you in this new role! Destiny was previously a Nurse Aide here at Salem Woods, and this week she officially accepted the position of Activities Director.



Destiny has been an incredible asset to our team — not only as a Nurse Aide, but also by stepping in to support various administrative departments, including Activities, Social Services, and Admissions. We’re excited to have someone who knows our residents so well take on this new leadership role.

Destiny has been a Nurse Aide for nearly 10 years and has been part of our company for the past 8 years. During that time, she’s gotten to know our residents deeply — even learning from them! One resident even taught her how to knit. Her close relationships and understanding of what our residents enjoy will help her thrive in her new role.

She’s especially excited to see the fun, playful side of our residents and to make them laugh. Destiny looks forward to “Work Out Wednesdays” and plans to bring her personal passions, like cooking, into our programming. In her free time, she loves party planning, cooking, and spending time outdoors with her son. Residents can look forward to joining her in a new activity called “Cook with Me,” where they’ll get to share her love for the kitchen.
