Although my stay at Salem Woods was short, I felt the genuine concern from all phases of the staff, from housekeeping to their administration, for my wellbeing. Nurse Theresa Smith was exceptional in her care...The physical therapy department seemed to be constantly working with residents. Jody was a gem.
My favorite part, of stay at Salem, has been the staff. The faces have changed over the years, but the heart of Salem beats on. For me, it's the staff that makes Salem home to me. The staff even help plan, decorate, and celebrate my mothers 70th Birthday. She was so happy. It made me happy. I'm truly blessed in this place, working for a better quality of life. My stay at Salem Woods has been nothing but great. All of the staff has been kind, polite and treat me with respect. I was very lucky to find this facility. I recommend this place to anyone.
When choosing a facility for my mother, no questions asked, Salem Woods was our first choice. Her short stay at Salem was a great experience! We were happy with the care she received. There was never ant concern about her well being. She was eager to tell us about her day at therapy, and the food she had that day. Thank you for taking excellent care of my mother!
My stay here at Salem Woods has been very good. The staff treats us well. They always treat us with respect. The food is good; housekeeping keeps the building nice. We have activities throughout the day, the area is nice and they keep the grounds nice as well. My family can visit at anytime and join us for activities!
Staff bends over backwards to meet my needs. I appreciated everyone's help and assistance. Therapy has helped me gain my strength and will back. i was here in 2015 for therapy and returned five years later when I was really weak and needing some TLC. Moving to Salem Woods was the best decision I made! I have lived here for two years. The staff are a wonderful group of people; they are always available to help you out in any way that they can. I really like my room. It is spacious and home-like. Everyone here has become my family. It's always a pleasure to spend time with the ladies in the activity department. The activities are a nice variety and keep me busy. I also want to say thank you to all of the staff for keeping us safe, healthy, and COVID free!
I have been a resident for quite some time. My stay here has been good. While at the hospital, I asked to go to Salem as I had been there and felt at home at Salem. The staff is caring and the rooms are kept clean. I enjoy activities and going on outings very much.
Salem Woods is a great place for therapy and for Long Term Care. I was here for rehab but I loved it here so much that I now call this my home. The rehab really helped me get stronger and to feel better. The aides and nurses are great, they come in right away when I press the call bell, even in the middle of the night. Even the Maintenance guys are friendly and fix whatever I need right away!

My 84 year old dad stayed at Salem Woods for short-term rehabilitation from 3/6 to 3/22 after some falls and a heart procedure. The nursing staff took great care of him and the therapy staff was able to return him to better than his prior level of function allowing him to return to his private residence when it looked like he was going to have to give up his independence and live with me. Dad had nothing but great things to say about nurses, nurse aides, therapy staff and housekeeping. He said he would stay at Salem Woods long term if the time ever comes.

I have had the best experiences at The Residence at Salem Woods. I have reached personal goals and was able to maintain my independence to return back to my own home. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcomed. Beginning with introducing themselves to me, the fresh flowers and the basket full of goodie. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Salem Woods is a wonderful place, clean, friendly, warm and inviting. The staff take extra steps to give their residents the attention and care they deserve. Jill was always bubbly and made the days better I can talk to Jill and feel the true sincerity and compassion she has for the people she takes care of. Jody and the therapy team kept me moving. They made me feel more confident in the progress I was making.
Angel the housekeeper goes over the top to make sure I have what I need and comfortable in my room. She talks to me and makes me feel at home. Her presence makes me smile when I see her when I see her come through the door. The activities looked fun and the meals were delicious and well prepared. The personal care I received and the outpouring love and support I received while at Salem Woods is beyond measures. I felt at home while I was there at Salem Woods. I will forever be grateful for all of the wonderful staff who assisted me during my short stay. I couldn’t be more pleased with choosing The Residence at Salem Woods for my short stay. I highly recommend Salem Woods to anyone looking for a place that treats you like family and at home.

I am very pleased with the care Salem Woods staff has provided for my brother, Roy. I am thankful for the transitional help of the care team, admissions team, and staff for getting my brother moved in. Also, a huge thank you to the housekeeping team for always making sure Roy's room is kept in tip-top shape. He enjoys the facility very much. I love seeing my brother happy again.
I have appreciated the time and attention your staff has devoted to me to make my stay at Salem Woods as pleasant as possible. Suffering from a variety of ailments made my care rather complicated. In particular, physical and occupational therapy were especially helpful and accommodating to my situation. The food was tasty and always on time. The nurses and aides were also helpful. Their enthusiasm for events was appreciated. Thank you to Shelly (social services) for the kindness and help in transitioning to home. Overall, this was a pleasant experience in my life book of events. Thank you!

George was lucky. After multiple attempts to find a place for him, he found his home here. From his first day, staff members were welcoming. In some places, one finds caregivers with an attitude - none of that here. The PT folks worked with him and allowed him to walk again. Speech Therapy has found him the most appropriate diet. Very pleased with the entire service. Management is responsive to everything - so much appreciate their help. I feel George is safe here. Thanks to everyone.

He really liked it at Salem Woods and thought highly of all his caregivers and everyone there who helped him. You made sure he was as comfortable as he could be, made sure he got his mashed potatoes and gravy (his favorite) and checked in and visited with him often.
It meant a lot to us knowing he was surrounded by a great group of people. You all treated him so well and showed the same caring to his family when we were there. Even at the end, you cared for him so gently and with heartfelt compassion.
