Meet Salem Woods' Assistant Director of Nursing

Meet Yveta, one of our incredible Assistant Directors of Nursing here at Salem Woods!



Since joining our team in August 2024, Yveta has made an outstanding impact. She currently oversees nursing care on our memory care unit, Elm, and also manages several rooms on our Ash unit. In addition to her unit responsibilities, Yveta handles all wound care throughout the building and monitors risk management for falls, ensuring our residents receive the highest level of care and attention.

Yveta’s journey in healthcare is as inspiring as her work ethic. She began her career as a hospital registrar before becoming an STNA, and in 2011, she fulfilled her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. Over the years, she’s gained experience in a variety of specialties including labor and delivery, home care, med-surg, and recovery/addiction. Her curiosity and passion for healthcare—along with encouragement from coworkers—led her to grow and thrive in the nursing profession.

While her clinical skills are top-notch, Yveta will be the first to tell you that her favorite part of the job is the residents. And they love her just as much! Our resident council president, Gary, described her as “very, VERY likable and capable”—a sentiment shared by many throughout the building.

When she first arrived at Salem Woods, Yveta had no prior experience in long-term care. But you’d never know it. Her eagerness to learn, dedication to our residents, and warm, upbeat attitude quickly won everyone over. Our Director of Nursing praised how quickly Yveta adapted, calling her a vital member of the nursing team from day one.

Always compassionate, consistently cheerful, and deeply committed—Yveta brings something truly special to Salem Woods. We’re beyond lucky to have her on our team!
